Hoover Dam

Also while in Vegas, we took a little side trip to see Hoover Dam. As many of you know, Ash is incouragable when it comes to marvels of civil engineering, so needless to say we all had to go with big, hungover smiles on our faces.

All kidding aside, it was actually pretty cool to see. The dam is HUGE, and even more impressive to me is the new bridge they are building over the gorge:

I just am unable to fathom how they get those structures to be safe, let alone how they go about building them in the first place.
