Can I get a 'sup?!?

Harper started saying "'sup" today.  Specifically in the context of "''sup, Dill?"  I really need to enunciate more.  So, in the spirit of "what's going on people"......let's do this.

OK folks, I know ya'll are reading my blog.  Blogger stats are an awesomely cool thing. :)

So, let's have a little comment party shall we?

If you're reading this, comment below and tell everyone what was the best Christmas present you have ever received.  Me: original nintendo when I was 10.  Close runner up: the tempur-pedic pillow I got this Christmas.  I know, I'm old.

Go!

Our first Christmas when Jim made me furniture and I had no idea how skilled he was and was blown away. And he tried to wrap it and that was pretty hilarious.
Alternately, my Barbie Dream House.

Matt & I haven't done Christmas presents since we got married. Instead, we usually get something big for both of us -- a new living room chair, an iPod dock, a vacation. But the first year we were married, we'd just bought our first house and we made the deal not to get each other presents and that was that. Then, on Christmas Eve morning, right before we were heading out to tour our families' celebrations, he called me into the living room and gave me a long slim box. It was a beautiful silver and diamond bracelet from Mark's Jewelers. He told me it was because I deserved a present to open in my new house, especially because it was my first Christmas as his wife. He is the best.

'Sup Em, Ash, Harper, and Helena!

Best Christmas Present Ever? Probably the Christmas that:
a.) Told my sister there was no Santa Clause
b.) Showed her the presents to prove it
c.) Santa is smarter than your average 6th grader (me) and found out about the events above.
d.) Santa then decided we didn't deserve presents and instead had to spend Christmas Eve at a nursing home making handmade cards for everyone there.

Despite all of that (and even though I got a KSU Starter Coat b/c Santa thought we did the right thing)... the best present was hearing a lady cry when we left because she was so happy she got her Christmas card. Or she was just overly medicated like most nursing home patients. :o)

Love your blog as always Em! Miss you guys!

Hmmmm, this is going to sound cliche, but the gifts that stick with me are the great ones that I give other people. If I make them cry, that means it's good. Last year I made a photo montage for Chad's parents that they cried over, and this year I made a photo book of my mom's family farm that my aunt and my cousin both cried over. Score. :)
